GOD’S POWER REALLY WORKS!!!!

I am actually just a flexible and easy going person. It seems that some of my friends feel comfortable if they talk to me. It’s blessing for me indeed. When we never meet or chat before, they easily share about their feeling. Even I never ask them talk to me, but they talk to me and share about their problem right away.

Like this one:

Yesterday during the break, I was enjoying my laptop. One of my senior colleagues approached me and sat next to me. Let’s say her name is Alethea. I forgot how it began. What I remember is she gave me a positive point that God’s power really works if we let Him in. Alethea shared her love’s story. Here it is:

Alethea told her story about her relationship before she finally got married with her husband. She always found a problem in making relationship. She always failed. Even she failed to have got married in a week. In Catholic Church, those who are going to married must take a short marriage course and their marriage is announced three times before the D-day. The announcement at church had been already done three times. Unfortunately, her fiancée got an accident and died. It’s so tragic, I guess. However, something unpredictable happened to her after that. As wise people said there is a blessing behind a problem. That’s what happened to her!

Alethea continued her life and joined any activities in Bandung. Until one day when she joined a retreat (a Christian and Catholic religious activity) in Sukabumi. On the last day, by the time everybody prepared to go back to Bandung, all participants went to the bus. At that time, Alethea was walking alone to the bus. Suddenly, there was one of her male colleagues (he’s Andrew) who caught up with her from behind. Andrew suddenly held and touched Alethea’s arm. Of course, it made her very shocked! Even, she never talked to Andrew before. She was really surprised knowing there was a guy who suddenly held her arm. It’s so strange! They never talked each other.

Do you know what happened next? They sat together in the back part seat of the bus during the way home, Andrew still held Alethea’s arm. Alethea didn’t reject it. But, what made it strange was they were sitting together, holding their hands but remained silent. There was no word indeed during the journey. How strange it was!!!

Furthermore, the strange moment didn’t stop on that day. On the next day, during working hour, Andrew and Alethea did their activities as usual. They didn’t talk each other as if there had been no something happened before, even to say ‘Hello’ or ‘Hi’. They just kept silent. Of course, it made Alethea felt uncomfortable, even more curious about what was really going on between she and Andrew. Therefore, Alethea decided to do 9 days Novena to Mother Mary in order to get the answer of the mysterious moment she was facing. Still in the same day, she started her first day of Novena.

Alethea enjoyed her Novena days. Do you know what happened in the ninth day?

In the ninth day of Novena, Alethea came home late after working. When she went downstairs, Andrew, the strange man suddenly caught up her. As what he did in Sukabumi, it happened unpredictably. Then, they walked together and were involved in a small talk. The point of what they were talking about was that Andrew asked if he could come to Alethea’s boarding house on that day. Without giving any refusal, Alethea allowed him to come to her house.

What happened next?

At the boarding house, Andrew asked Alethea to be his wife. He asked her to get married. Again, it made Alethea really surprised! However, she didn’t do anything except answered ‘yes’ right away. It means that she agreed to be his wife. Actually Alethea was really astonished what was going on? She never expected that it was the answer of mysterious days she had before. Eventually, she got a final answer of her curiosity so far. On the next day, Andrew really asked Alethea when he could meet her parents and asked a permit to propose her. A week after that, Alethea’s father was sick and finally he passed away. One wish of her father she had to get married in the 40^th day after his death. Of course, it made Alethea’s days became so busy in preparing her marriage, her flash marriage! Finally, on the 40^th day of her father’s death, she got married with Andrew, a strange and mysterious guy that God had given to her.

WELL…. It is really God’s wish!!!!

God’s power really worked on them.

We can’t never deny or reject what HE really wants to do upon us.

So, let it go by the flow.

Let God create whatever on us.
